Consolidated Communications employees donate to Humane Society

GIBSONIA, Pennsylvania – Members of the Consolidated Communications Spirit Team employees recently donated more than $450 to the Butler County Humane Society.

The Spirit Team is a group of employees who organize events to promote a positive and fun work environment at Consolidated Communications. The team organized a Wii Bowling Tournament in March and selected the Humane Society as the beneficiary of its proceeds. More than 70 employees participated in the tournament.

Employees paid to participate in the tournament and were also encouraged to bring in donations for the animals cared for by the Humane Society.

"We're excited to make this donation to the Butler County Humane Society. The Humane Society operates a no-kill shelter for animals and we are proud to support the Humane Society in its work,” said Mary Ann Mackrell, Consolidated employee and president of the Spirit Team.

Sue Perkins of the Butler County Humane Society accepts a donation from Julie Bernd, Consolidated Communications employee and a member of the Spirit Team.
